I’m a fan of things that go bump in the night—at least I like to read and write about them. I write both Young Adult and New Adult romances, frequently with a paranormal twist. (No vampires or werewolves allowed…I see enough of them when I watch The Vampire Diaries, and can any other vampire really compare with Damon Salvatore?)

My preschool teachers began to worry a bit when I said that I wanted to be a witch when I grew up and my favorite color was black. Thankfully, my imagination still gets a good workout when I write about the secrets people keep. And don’t we all have a few secrets?

When I grow up, my dream is to work at the Haunted Mansion. Until then, watching Ghost Hunters will have to count as research.

I’m represented by Kathleen Rushall of Marshal Lyon Literary Agency.

NetGalley review: Confessions of a Virgin Sex Columnist

Grade: 5 out of 5

About the book (from Goodreads):

From bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis, writing as Kay Marie, comes a new adult romantic comedy about a girl who'll soon discover that some secrets can't be kept forever, especially those of the heart.

My name is Skylar Quinn. I just moved to New York with my best friend Bridget, and I have a confession. Well, more than one. Okay, quite a few really. Fine, here goes!

Confession #1: I'm a sex columnist. Hold on, that's not really the confession. You see, I'm sort of a columnist.

Confession #2: I'm kind of in love with Bridget's older brother, Oliver. No, I was. No, I am. Wait, was? Am? Crap.

Confession #3: I've been avoiding Oliver for four years. Or I was until today, because he just moved in. Yes, you read that correctly. He's my new roommate. So that night we've both been pretending never happened, well, we might not be able to keep it a secret any longer.

And trust me, this is only the beginning.

What I think about the book:

This was an amazing book that I feel in love with very quickly.
You could say already from the first page.

Here we have a book about a girl at the age of 22 that got a job as a sex columnist and the only problem, or perhaps I should say one of the problems is that she is a virgin and haven't really dated before.

It's a really funny book that contains many subjects such as: the best friend, the romance, miserable date, the rival, the good dates and the love dramas and a little bit more.
All the subjects I love in a book like this. While reading the book I found myself laughing, crying (happy tears), feeling the aaww/naawws and a big OMG.

The writing is good and the English is not at all hard to understand and of course
the story is really great.

I was debating myself if I really should have continue read it in one day or if I should stop
and save something for another time but at the end of the debate I decided to read it all in one day
without any stops so here I am finished with the book that I became to love.
So now I'm waiting for the next book, Confessions of an Undercover Girlfriend!, that won't be out
until Spring 2016 and the waiting might kill me because I want the next book right now!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Xpresso Book Tours for
giving me the chance to read and review this amazing book!

Quote from the book: The best boyfriend I've ever had was a fictional character.
After all, the only one I've really had was John, and after almost 4 years, that ended
with him cheating and me ruing the day he was born.
So, yeah, I'll stick with my books

Ninety-one year old Ira Levinson is in trouble. Struggling to stay conscious after a car crash, with his mind fading, an image of his beloved, and long-dead, wife Ruth appears. Urging him to hang on, she lovingly recounts the joys and sorrows of their life together - how they met, the dark days of WWII, and its unrelenting effect on their families.

A few miles away, college student Sophia Danko's life is about to change. Recovering from a break-up, she meets the young, rugged Luke and is thrown into a world far removed from her privileged school life. Sophia sees a new and tantalising future for herself, but Luke has a secret which threatens to break it all apart.

Ira and Ruth. Sophia and Luke. Two couples, separated by years and experience, whose lives are about to converge in the most unexpected - and shocking - of ways.

The new epic love story from the multi-million-copy bestselling author of The Notebook, The Lucky One and The Best of Me. Nicholas Sparks is one of the world's most beloved authors.

Min smakbit:

Luke watched as the drunk ex-boyfriend stalked off, and he turned to thank his fellow riders for coming over.
One by one they drifted away, leaving Luke and Sophia alone.
Above them, the stars had multiplied in the ebony sky.
In the barn, the band finished one song and eased into another, an older classic by Garth Brooks.
With a deep sigh, Sophia let her arms fall to her sides, the autumn breeze lifting her hair gently as she turned to face him.

- osäker på vilken sida i boken men i Aldiko appen står det 48-49.

Beware of Bad Boy

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries series, comes the very first adult installment, which follows Princess Mia and her Prince Charming as they plan their fairy tale wedding—but a few poisoned apples could turn this happily-ever-after into a royal nightmare.

For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity, what with living in New York City, running her new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia's gorgeous longtime boyfriend Michael managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course Mia didn't need to consult her diary to know that her answer was a royal oui.

But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: Her grandmother's leaked "fake" wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is trying to force Mia's father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch. Can Mia prove to everyone—especially herself—that she's not only ready to wed, but ready to rule as well?

Cover Reveal: No Interest in Love

I'm one of the lucky bloggers that got the chance to particpate in this cover reveal of Cassie Maes newest book No Interest in Love and I just want to say thanks to her to let me be part of it.

Because Cassie Mae love GIFs, and her main character in this book, Jace, is obsessed with How I Met Your Mother, we're gonna do the cover reveal with a series of HIMYM GIFs so just enjoy it :)

There's this guy; this actor...

And his balls are so very blue.

He wants that problem rectified. And he has his chance when his agent... this girl here:

...lands him an audition for the next big Rom Com with an A-list actress who is known for really getting to "know" her co-stars.

The audition's on set in Alabama. He's in LA. Flights are grounded, car engine gets flooded, and the fecal matter pretty much hits the fan.

Now he has to get across the country with the girl who drives him nuts.

A girl who doesn't know how to chill out.

A girl who doesn't understand that he's not interested in a relationship now... or ever.

A girl who---as he spends more and more time with her---goes from this:

To this:

And now he has a few more roads in front of him. Play it safe and keep heading toward Casual Fling Lane...

Or take a chance on the unfamiliar feelings that lead down Relationship Avenue.

And *plays drum roll* here's the cover for it!

Also the official blurb ;)

Readers of Emma Chase are sure to fall for bestselling author Cassie Mae’s All About Love series! In No Interest in Love, Hollywood’s hottest young actor hits the road to chase his big break—and gets caught in a steamy love triangle.

When Jace Carver snags a minor part in his buddy’s zombie flick, he suddenly starts getting noticed all over the place. Even Hollywood megastar Carletta Ocean—known for her extensive “research” with her leading men—wants Jace for her new rom-com. The role could be a game-changer . . . if Jace nails the audition.

As Jace’s agent, Shaylene Kwak is all business—and isn’t about to let her favorite client blow this opportunity. Ever since college, Shay has been immune to Jace’s charm and rock hard body. But long hours in tight company have a way of wearing down even the best defenses. And when their platonic teasing turns into serious flirting, Jace and Shay are no longer able to resist what’s been right in front of them the whole time.

Shay knows Jace’s love-’em-and-leave-’em history with women. She’s not about to be just another notch in his belt. And it’s true, Jace has never wanted more than a one-night stand—until now. But at the end of the line, he’s got a choice: sleep with Carletta and seal the deal . . . or risk his career for a shot at true love with Shay.

Praise for Cassie Mae

“Clever, romantic, and entertaining . . . Cassie Mae is a natural storyteller.”—USA Today bestselling author Tiffany King, on Doing It for Love
“Cassie Mae is awesome! The perfect balance between laugh-out-loud funny and achingly poignant, The Real Thing is the ultimate escapist read. I didn’t want it to end!”—Lauren Layne, USA Today bestselling author of Crushed

“Cassie Mae’s writing is fresh and original!”—Rachel Morgan, author of the Creepy Hollow series
“A fabulous author who tugs on your heart strings as if she owns them.”—Jade Hart, author of Coffee and Cockpits

Cassie Mae (who dons the name Becca Ann on occasion) is the author of a few hundred—okay, maybe not that many—books. Since writing her bestselling debut, Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend, she has published books with Random House, Swoon Romance, and Tulip Romance. She has a favorite of all her babies, but no, she won’t tell you what it is (mainly because it changes depending on the day). Along with writing, Cassie likes to binge-watch Teen Wolf and The Big Bang Theory. She can quote Harry Potter lines quick as a whip. And she likes kissing her hubby, but only if his facial hair is trimmed. She also likes cheesecake to a very obsessive degree.

Comes out December 22nd, but you can pre-order now!
